We both slept about as restfully as a water bug on Red Bull, but Sarah still looked great and was in high spirits as they wheeled her away. All that, despite the fact that her chucklehead husband had trouble finding the car keys and then left his cell phone in the hotel room and had to run back for it. As my Mom used to tell me -- it's a good thing my head's attached!
We met the full team that will be with Sarah and were really impressed. Nurse Nicole will be quarterbacking the crew, with Dr. Feigenbaum and his surgery nurse Kelly both working on Sarah, along with the anesthesiologist, nerve monitoring specialist, a remote neurologist watching things along with the specialist and a surgery tech also assisting. A great team! And a great patient too!!
